Cleaning data

This calculator has a memory like an elephant. If you don’t clear old data, it will mess up your new problems.

Here are the 4 commands you need to survive:

  • Just made a typo? Press CE/C.
    • What it does: It’s like “Backspace.” It only deletes the number you are currently typing. Safe to use mid-calculation.
  • Starting a new Loan/Interest problem? Press 2nd + [CLR TVM].
  • Starting a new Project (NPV/IRR)? Press 2nd + [CLR WORK].
    • What it does: Wipes the specific worksheet you are in (like the Cash Flow list). If you forget this, old cash flows will mix with new ones.
  • Calculator acting weird / Frozen? Press 2nd + [RESET] + ENTER.
    • The Nuclear Option: This is a Factory Reset. It wipes everything and returns settings to default.
    • Note: After a reset, remember to go back and fix your decimal places and AOS settings again!
